The starters were honestly outstanding — beautifully presented, creative, and full of flavor. Everything from the crab/oysters and seafood to the small bites and croquettes felt refined and carefully prepared, and the presentation made the experience feel truly special from the start. Service from Darwin was exceptional throughout the evening. He was attentive, professional, and handled everything with genuine hospitality. Unfortunately, both short rib mains we ordered were extremely salty and very dry, to the point that we had to send both dishes back to the kitchen. This honestly should not happen at a restaurant with this level of reputation and pricing. However, Darwin handled the situation very professionally and removed the dishes from the bill, which we really appreciated. Because the starters, atmosphere, and service were so strong, we still left with mostly positive feelings overall.

It’s an excellent restaurant located inside the walled city. The menu is very creative and delicious! The service is outstanding. We were lucky to have as our waiter a very good looking gentleman named Victor. His knowledge of the menu and his service were impeccable. I highly recommend this restaurant. We had a great time. And congratulations to the chef!

We had a lovely dinner at El Burlador. We choose the signature chef menu. You won’t be disappointed. All dishes were nicely presented and very tasteful. The menu comes with pairing wines. Our waiter Edwin made sure we were well looked after. It’s an absolute delight to have dinner here.

We enjoyed live music, which created a wonderful atmosphere. Even though we didn’t have a reservation, the staff kindly arranged a table for us in less than 10 minutes, just as we had decided to wait at the bar and enjoy a couple of cocktails. Our server, Edwin, provided excellent service. He explained the dishes very well and gave us very attentive and personalized service. Overall, it’s a great place with a lovely ambiance.

First time in Cartagena and we were recommended this little gem and it did not disappoint! Everything was absolutely delicious. We decided to share appetizers to start our night and ordered the Ceviche Mediterráneo and the Surtido de Tapas, both of which were outstanding and full of flavor. Our server, Carlos, was attentive, friendly, and gave us excellent recommendations for places to explore in the area. The service truly elevated the whole experience. We will definitely be coming back next time we’re in town!
