Description

Day 1: Santa Marta We'll pick you up at Simón Bolívar Airport and take you to the hotel in the historic center. In the afternoon, you'll explore Parque de los Novios, a place full of life and tradition that really captures the essence of the city. When night falls, you'll have free time to grab dinner and soak up the local vibe. Day 2: Tayrona Park Check out one of the country's most stunning natural parks. You'll stroll through tropical rainforests and chill on heavenly beaches like Arrecifes and Cabo San Juan del Guía. You'll have time to swim in crystal-clear waters, relax, and enjoy the view from the viewpoint. Head back to Santa Marta in the afternoon. Day 3: Minca Check out this eco-friendly town in the Sierra Nevada, famous for its coffee and cocoa. You'll check out a farm where they make things the old-fashioned way, enjoy a typical lunch, and get to cool off in waterfalls and rivers, plus spot birds in their natural habitat. Day 4: Aracataca and Barranquilla Travel to the birthplace of Gabriel García Márquez, the real Macondo. Take a stroll through its streets and check out the Colombian Nobel Prize winner's House Museum. After a local lunch, head on to Barranquilla. In the evening, you'll get to experience the music and dancing in a colorful chiva rumbera along the Malecón del Río Magdalena. Day 5: Barranquilla Check out the city's main attractions: El Prado neighborhood, Casa del Carnaval, Shakira Monument, and Ventana al Mundo. Check out Gabo's connection to the city in spots like Bar La Cueva. The rest of the day is yours to explore museums, shop, or enjoy a food tour with local treats like egg arepas. Day 6: Heading to Cartagena After a road trip, you'll arrive in Cartagena de Indias. If you want, you can stop at the Totumo Volcano for a mud bath. Once in the city, you'll hop on a chiva rumbera at night to explore the historic center, Getsemaní, and Bocagrande to the beat of Caribbean music. Day 7: Cartagena Explore the 'walled city': the Castillo de San Felipe, Cerro de la Popa, the Monumento a los Zapatos Viejos, and the Torre del Reloj. Take a stroll through Getsemaní and check out its street art In the afternoon, you've got free time for the beach, shopping, or exploring the colonial streets. Day 8: Saying goodbye After breakfast, you'll have the morning to explore Cartagena at your own pace before heading to Rafael Núñez Airport for your return flight.
