I absolutely LOVE Alquimico. Every time I got back to Cartagena ( which is often) I always end up there. Their drinks are delicious and most of all the service is incredible. The bartenders go above and being to create the best atmosphere possible. Ivan (el jefe) the manager makes sure things run completely smoothly and is super nice! One of my favorite bartenders Efrain is the sweetest and makes some of THE BEST drinks. Other bartenders I’ve met there are also super kind and great people to get to know! The food is not the best but the drinks, atmosphere and service definitely make up for it! Highly recommend! This review is fully transparent and my personal take on the bar. Check it out!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Alquímico was one of the highlights of our trip to Cartagena. The cocktails were exceptional—creative, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. The atmosphere is unlike anywhere else, with incredible energy, music, and a truly unique vibe. As vegetarians, we were especially impressed by the food. Alquímico is a paradise for vegetarians and vegans, offering thoughtful, flavorful dishes that are just as memorable as the drinks. A special shoutout to Angeles, who was absolutely amazing. Her warm hospitality, recommendations, and attention to detail made our experience even more special. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. World-class cocktails, outstanding vegetarian food, amazing service, and an unforgettable atmosphere. If you’re visiting Cartagena, Alquímico is an absolute must-visit. 🌱🍸✨🇨🇴

The place itself was pretty good and had a decent vibe, but there were a couple of drawbacks. The cocktails are batch pre-made rather than mixed fresh to order, which was a bit disappointing for the price. Also, we noticed a pretty unpleasant smell coming from the left side of the bar area. Overall, it’s a decent spot for a quick stop, but a few adjustments would definitely improve the experience. 4 stars.

Alquimico completely lived up to its reputation as one of the world’s best bars. Ranked #11 on theworlds50best website, this place absolutely deserves the hype. The bar has 3 floors, and we spent our evening on the first floor, which had a great atmosphere. The cocktail menu was incredibly unique, creative, and tasty. The staff were super friendly and welcoming throughout the night, and our bartender Engler was fantastic. One thing to keep in mind: they don’t take reservations, it’s first come, first served so make sure to arrive early.

While visiting Cartagena, I couldn't leave without trying the cocktails at one of the world's top bars. Alquímico completely delivered! The cocktails were absolutely delicious, and the service was outstanding. The bartenders were incredibly knowledgeable and took their time to share the fascinating background of the place and the history behind the drinks — I really appreciated that personal touch. The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. If you're going, you have to try the Guayaba Agria — it was my absolute favorite!
