Five stars for the ceviche, four stars for the overall experience. As an avid ceviche enthusiast, I had just come back from Cartagena yesterday where I tried ceviche at several popular restaurants. Surprisingly, nothing compared to the Miraflores ceviche at Malanga. The freshness of the fish and seafood was outstanding. The unexpected combinations of ingredients created bold and perfectly balanced flavors, and the contrast of textures, especially the crispy potatoes, was a highlight that elevated the dish even further. The portions were exceptionally generous, not just with the veggies but also with the fish and seafood, which I always appreciate. I almost walked out because the place feels more like a bar than a restaurant, but was positively surprised with the food taste. The house-flavored soda was however disappointing: overwhelmingly sweet and served in a very small glass. I ended up ordering a second plain soda just to dilute the sweetness and have enough to enjoy with my meal. On the positive side, the pricing was fair and competitive, especially considering the quality and generous portions. Despite the service and the beverage, the ceviche alone is reason enough to return. In fact, I’ll be back later this week with my family, who are all seafood lovers. I just wish the service matched the exceptional quality and creativity of the food. UPDATE: I went back and service was top. I learned this location in Ciudad del Rio opened not long ago so I take back my opinion about uninterested staff, they're clearly just learning the menu and options. We ordered four dishes: the Pesca Cartagenera that sadly did not live up to expectations, specially the fish, flavour was off I think it was the skin made the fish taste too strong, coconut rice and salad were fabulous but tiny. My husband ordered another cevice (can't find the name) and it was delicious as well. My daughters both ordered the salmon that was tasty but the Bailey's rice was left behind and considered "too sweet" but that's a personal preference, not a quality issue. Overall I still highly recommend this restaurant and hope to return during my next visit to the city.
Excellent from start to finish! Top 10 in Medellin i have been and i live there. The Bora Bora cocktail is insane! The calamari nachos absolutely insane! The food, service and atmosphere all top tier. I can’t wait to come back here with mi Cuñadas!
Great first experience! Our food was fresh and tasty. Awesome music and drinks
Amazing Caribbean Colombian food with coconut rice! I had a delicious fish dish. Highly recommended, one of my top 3 restaurants here in Medellín! Believe the hype.
One of the best restaurants in Medellin. Everything we ordered, almost was good except the salmon it was a bit dry. We ordered a lot of appetizers and main dishes and that was a mistake because the food portions were really big. I strongly recommend this restaurant if you ever visit Medellin.
