It was a great place to have lunch. Amazing food. The prawns and the pork we’re spectacular. The shrimp starter and the burrata also very good, and the deserts a dream although the guanábana was the best.
I am reluctant to write this review, because this place is so good that I want to keep it all to myself! I live in Washington, DC and I've eaten at some very high end restaurants, so I feel I can confidently say this is the best food in Manizales! I let the head chef recommend the fare and he impressed beyond all expectations! For the appetizer I had an incredible burrata salad with crispy corn which gave it an amazing texture, followed by an incredible potato with shredded beef, and a custom made aji (chilly powder) sprinkled on top. The main course were some langostinos (large prawns) in a sweet honey and chontaduro sauce with crispy beets; a combination I would have never thought could work so well together, but it did! Literally blew my mind... Not only was the food amazing, but the service was top notch with a very nice wine selection! I also got to chat with the head chef about his culinary experience, and was surprised to learn he is self-taught and never stops experimenting with ways to showcase the endless variety of ingredients Colombia has to offer. 10/10 A must go, if you are in Manizales! Oh and make sure to ask about the aji (chilly powder) made by one of the employees, which you can buy to go and I highly recommend you do so!
