Once you meet your guide at your hotel, embark on a personalized journey by private car towards Villa de Leyva. Take in the natural beauty of the countryside and learn more about the region from your guide as you make your way to the first stop at the Boyaca colonial bridge. Here is where an important battle took place in 1819 during the struggle for Colombian independence from Spanish rule. Upon arrival at the massive square at Villa de Leyva, you are free to walk around and take photos of the impressive colonial architecture. Next stop within the town is the Terracota House where the largest piece of porcelain on earth is displayed. Next visit the Parque Gondava, where replicas of the most spectacular dinosaurs are displayed in real life scale. Travel onwards to Sutamarchan village, where some of the most delicious authentic dishes can be enjoyed at your expense. Final stop on the tour is at the colorful village of Raquira to see colorful facades and vibrant local artwork. Wander around this cozy town and obtain unique pieces of art created by the locals before being returned to your accomodation.
