It is a remarkable testament to engineering prowess and architectural beauty, was designed by Jose Maria Villa in the 19th century and completed in 1887. The bridge played a vital role in connecting Santa Fe de Antioquia to Medellín and other parts of the region, it facilitated trade and communication in the area during the 19th and early 20th centuries. Walking across the bridge provides breathtaking panoramic views of the Cauca River and the surrounding countryside. Then you travel to the old town: founded in 1541, Santa Fe de Antioquia has retained its colonial charm, offering visitors a unique opportunity to step back in time and witness a piece of Colombia's history. Wander through the town's well-preserved architecture and absorb the atmosphere of a bygone era. Discover the local fruits and cuisine, and have an excellent coffee at the main square while checking out the life of the local people. In the afternoon we travel back to Medellín, stopping by a view point to enjoy some amazing mountain views.
