Description
Day 1: Destination Mamey Village
The 4-day Lost City Trek departs from Turcol's headquarters in Santa Marta, leaving at 9:00 AM to the village of El Mamey. After lunch we begin the hike to Adam's hut, with an approximate duration of 3 hours, the journey is 7.6 kilometers. At the hut there is recreation and cultural integration, followed by food and lodging.
Day 2: Destination Paradise Hut
We depart from Adam's hut to Paraiso hut, the closest hut to the Lost City, on a 14.7 kilometer trek that will take approximately 8 hours. During the excursion you will visit the MUTANYI indigenous village, where you will be able to take pictures and interact with the local people. Also, enjoy the fabulous waters of the BURITACA River. Dinner will be served at 06:00 pm. Sleeping arrangements for this day will be in beds or hammocks with mosquito nets.
Day 3: Destination Ciudad Perdida
Departure from the Paraíso lodge to the Lost City, the host guide will explain the history of the area, and you will be allowed to take pictures in a time of 3 hours. From the Lost City we will return to the Mumake cabin in a 7.6 kilometers tour, during a time of 4 hours approximately, where recreational activities, food and lodging will take place.
Day 4: Destination Santa Marta
The departure will be from the Mumake cabin to the village of El Mamey in a journey of approximately 15.6 kilometers, the estimated time is 6 hours on foot, then there will be a break for lunch and finally return from El Mamey to the city of Santa Marta.
