After being charged strongly with not being late we arrived 20 minutes early for our appointment and saw the sign in the photo below. Google translates it as "DOOR CLOSED. Please ring the doorbell next door. Thank you." which is right next to a doorbell that says "RING THE DOORBELL AND WAIT FOR THE BZZZZ". We did that for 15 minutes and also messaged via Whatsapp until a rude little man came from inside and pointed to the sign like we were stoopid, motioning for us to enter via the hostel next door. That was an inauspicious start. Inside the services were fine once you get past all of the signs in English, though they make you wear a cap for the hydro massage. Thankfully the shower caps we brought from the hotel were sufficient. The hydro massage was only ok, I wouldn't bother to do it again, and there's mold growing on the ceiling in that room and a layer of scum on the pool surface. The massage was also ok, but nothing special, and the Turkish Baths just aren't my thing. There is hair and water on the floor and there are video cameras in the changing area. Who knows who is looking at them! It could have been better, but a single bad attitude ruined it.
I used to go to this place way before they converted it into a hostel for young foreigners. With the "new management", the place lost its soul and caring service. The steam rooms have many small damages that nobody takes care of. The restaurant charges you extra for things like the salsa for the empanadas, which is just outrageous in a country where "empanadas con aji" are a national symbol. Prices are abusive and the sad result of gentrification.
