Fantastic dinner experience. Very beautiful taste combinations. From the cocktail, the amuses, the apperative, main course to the dessert and the coffee and the tea. Great team work and a lot of passion and eye for detail in the kitchen. Good service from Blanca. When in Medellin, don't miss this!!!
Let me start by saying Carmen is definitely one of the nicest restaurants in Medellin. That said, for a “World’s 50 Best” rating, we expected more. If only the food tasted as good as it looked… The presentation of the dishes was great; the flavor not so much (except for La Cazuela - that was a great dish). Also, the service was okay, not “World’s 50 Best”. Still worth a try - just lower your expectations. P.S. If you’re going to Carmen just for drinks, you’re better off at La Casa De Ruby.
We had a great meal at Carmen. From the moment we booked our reservation to arriving at the restaurant, we were helped by an excellent team. Esteban was our server and he made it a special experience. He recommended dishes which paired perfectly. He also provided us with a few other treats during our meal which were unexpected, delicious surprises. We had the Lady Bee collaboration ceviche, the Carmen tostadas, and the pork 2 ways. Everything was excellent and the whole dining experience was incredible and highly recommended. Thank you Esteban and the team at Carmen!
One of the best meals we had in Medellin! Everything was delicious with lots of creative flavors. The vibes were elegant and modern with amazing cocktails.
