Great spot, terrible food. Ordered the fish and chips — big mistake. The fish came out almost black, completely soaked in burnt oil flavor, and the fries were no better. Left most of it on the plate.
We hosted a post-wedding brunch at La Deriva for about 100 guests, and it couldn’t have gone better. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. The food was absolutely delicious, with a great variety that everyone enjoyed. The ambiance was perfect for a relaxed yet celebratory gathering, beautiful, welcoming, and ideal for bringing everyone together after such a special day. Diana was attentive, organized, and handled the large group seamlessly, making everything feel effortless on our end. They made sure our guests were comfortable and well taken care of throughout the entire brunch. Highly recommend for events or even a casual visit, you’ll be in great hands!
Really enjoyed our lunch at this place. Cool music, nice ambiance, feels like you are in the sky and jungle at the same time. We tried the tradito and it was amazing! Also be sure to order the smashed plantains and guacamole.
Diana provided a wonderful experience the entire time we were here. She was knowledgeable on all of the vegetarian options right away. She also knew what dishes and drinks to recommend and always came around with a smile on her face.
As an American that can speak a little Spanish we were hesitant but loved the menu and overall aesthetic. Can say we were not disappointed in the slightest. We had a speedy service as well as immaculate food and drinks. My friends and I ordered a plethora of dishes that did not disappoint. Jaime did a fantastic job being attentive to our groups needs. We would come again, and recommend to anyone coming to Medellín!
