Description

A two-hour drive from Medellín will take you to the Magdalena Medio region, where you'll enjoy a unique Colombian landscape: lush mountains, a tropical rainforest, a river with rapids that promise an exciting day of rafting, and where artisanal gold mining is also practiced. Then, you'll travel along the old Antioquia Railway in handmade carriages, just like the locals do. Along the railway tracks, amidst lush vegetation, you'll spot villages and hamlets that are now almost forgotten, but were very popular when the Antioquia Railway was in operation (1929 to 1999). In this experience, you'll connect with nature and typical expressions of what life was like for the Paisa people years ago.
