Such a lovely experience. The rooftop is absolutely beautiful, the ambiance is vibrant and fun, and the entertainment was fantastic. The food was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Every dish we had was delicious. The service was attentive, warm and the entire experience felt special from start to finish. One of my favorite meals and nights in Cartagena. Loved it and would absolutely recommend it.
My girlfriend and I only had one goal for the night - to eat delicious pulpo (octopus). We achieved that goal at Doña Lola 🙂↕️! Our waiter, Alejandro, was attentive the whole night and spoke wonderful English!! He was kind enough to ask if we’d like to practice our Spanish too lol. Some violinists came out around 7:45pm to do live covers of pop music - they did great and made the night memorable. We got two drinks, the crab appetizer, shrimp pasta, and octopus which all came out to ~$95 USD total.
Delicious food!! Especially the cacao pasta and pulpo a la parilla + highly recommend the cocktails (we had a piña colada and mojito)! Alejandro was a great server and very patient as we decided what to order. Had a great time and live music was beautiful! Will come again :)
This is a beautiful venue, I loved the ambiance of the dining room. They have a patio out back and some very unique collection of insects on display which feels like a museum meets 19th century villa. It's nestled in the Getsmani district and has a lot of character! The dishes were tasty and beautifully presented - I tried seafood. And their tiramisu was amazing. Overall, I really enjoyed the dining experience.
Our meal at Doña Lola was a breath of fresh air. We stopped in Cartagena to change the pace and have a few days in the city, and because we’d heard the food was fantastic. We wanted to make the most of our limited time so chose our stops carefully. Doña Lola was incredible and immediately became the best meal we’d had in Colombia. The food is super fresh and simple but packed full of flavour. We left happy and full. Special shoutout to David who provided excellent service and great recommendations. We also got stuck in a cab down a one way straight so ended up being very late - I WhatsApped them and got a response saying ‘don’t panic, we’ll hold the table, it’s yours’. On a Saturday night, that’s not guaranteed, so we really appreciated it! We also received an unexpected dessert because it was our honeymoon. Highly recommend, thanks team!
