Description
Less than an hour from Bogota and you can be literally immersed in nature on this Choachi tour. Climb behind the rushing falls of El Chiflon and revel in the spectacular surrounds, rolling hills and beautiful butterflies. This really is a place you’ll remember. After the short hike to and from the falls a 10-minute drive will bring you to Bella Italia, an authentic Italian restaurant voted the number 2 restaurant in the whole of Cundinamarca. The welcoming owner will make you feel right at home as you tuck in to a delicious, organic and locally sourced lunch. There are also craft beers brewed at the local brewery available for purchase. Next, your journey will take you either to that local craft brewery to learn all about the brewing process and sample some excellent artisan beers or to a unique organic local farm, built on a natural government protected reserve. This form of eco tourism is becoming more and more popular here in Colombia which is great for the farmers trying to make the switch to completely natural and organic processes. Here you will find only native plant species and incredible scenery from the nearby viewpoint, the perfect opportunity to take some photos to amaze your friends and family back home. There are plenty of organic products on offer here to sample and purchase including cheese, jam/jelly, yoghurt, butter and bread. Don’t forget to say hello to all the adopted dogs here and look out for the rare birds that you can spot in this location. Next to the farm is a unique and fascinating site of ancient Muisca rock paintings. You will be able to see first-hand paintings from the distant past before the Spanish colonization of South America. Finally you can sit back and relax as your private vehicle transports you back to your hotel in comfort.Includes
