Conclude your day with an exciting game of tejo, Colombia’s national sport, that perfectly wraps up your immersion in local culture. Invented by the Muisca people, tejo has been passed down through generations and was originally played as a ritual offering to the gods. Today, it remains a lively tradition that blends ancestral roots with modern-day fun. On the second day, head to the charming town of Choachí, located about 90 minutes from Bogotá, where you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in an authentic Colombian coffee experience. The highlight of this trip will be a hands-on coffee tour that engages all five senses. As you move through a series of interactive stations, explore captivating aromas, rich textures, and complex flavors that together tell the story of Colombian coffee. Next, visit a local farm to participate in an amasijos cooking class. Learn to prepare these traditional Colombian baked goods using local ingredients, all while sharing the experience with rural women who have preserved these culinary traditions for generations. At the end of this incredible experience in the Choachí community, head back to Bogotá.
