Description

When you land at Palonegro International Airport, our team will meet you to start a transfer full of history, landscapes, and local flavors to the magical villages of San Gil and Barichara. Before leaving the city behind, we'll make a stop at a panoramic viewpoint, where you can admire the Bucaramanga plateau and enjoy a typical Santander snack while we tell you interesting facts about the 'Pretty City.' We'll continue to the colonial town of Girón, a Colombian heritage gem. We'll drive through its central square, admiring its cobbled streets and white facades, and we'll stop in the Malecón del Río de Oro area to taste a freshly brewed local coffee and buy typical artisanal breads, perfect to accompany the rest of the trip. After visiting Girón, we'll head to García Rovira Park in the historic center of Bucaramanga, where we'll take a short walk to learn about the city's founding history, its iconic monuments, and the events that marked its urban and cultural development. From there, we'll head to one of Bucaramanga's most exclusive residential areas, known for its fine dining and vibrant nightlife. We'll then take the old road to Floridablanca, a route that offers natural landscapes and contrasts that reveal the social and cultural essence of the region. On this journey, you'll clearly see why Bucaramanga is known as the 'Pretty City': for its clean streets, the greenery that surrounds it, and the balance between modernity and nature that characterizes its metropolitan area. In Floridablanca, we'll visit its Main Park, where we'll stop at the traditional Calle de los Dulces to try the local delicacies: wafers in multiple combinations, the typical celery sweet, and other traditional desserts that sweeten the soul. Before leaving the metropolitan area, we'll make a small detour to Parque Libertad de Piedecuesta, unique in Colombia for having two churches in the same square, and we'll learn the history behind this curious local symbol. Finally, we'll take the route that crosses the imposing Chicamocha Canyon, enjoying its majestic views as we move towards Aratoca and then to your final destination: San Gil or Barichara, depending on your choice. Depending on your flight schedule and the time of day, you can enjoy a typical Santander breakfast, lunch, or dinner, tailored to your itinerary. A transfer that becomes an experience: the perfect way to kick off your adventure in Santander.
