Description
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at the hotel to start a tour that combines spirituality, heritage, and living history, visiting the most representative temples of Bucaramanga and its surroundings, along with the places that have marked the city's memory.
Our first stop will be the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, an architectural and historical gem where we'll learn about its construction and symbolism, as well as exploring its catacombs, a unique space that connects the religious with the city's past.
Then we'll head to the traditional San Francisco area to visit the Church of San Francisco de Asís, a spiritual meeting point for generations. Here, you'll learn about the neighborhood's history and the social role of its Franciscan community, which has left a deep mark on local life.
We'll then head to the center of Bucaramanga to visit the Church of the Sagrada Familia, one of the most important in the city thanks to its beauty and its influence on religious and cultural life. On leaving, we'll stroll through Parque Santander, the city's nerve center and a place that, as in many Colombian capitals, concentrates history and tradition.
From there, we'll discover some of the historic landmarks of Bucaramanga: the Club del Comercio, a symbol of the social and business elite gatherings of the last century, and the old Hotel Bucarica, a building that once housed travelers and celebrities and now keeps its legacy alive through academic use.
Then we'll hop in the vehicle to head to the San Laureano Church, one of the oldest in Bucaramanga, located in the historic and administrative center. In García Rovira Park, we'll talk about its importance as the seat of the Government and the Mayor's Office, and we'll visit the Luis Carlos Galán Civic Plaza, a space of political memory in front of the Palace of Justice.
Next, we'll start our journey to the colonial town of Girón. To get there, we'll cross the Viaducto de la Novena, one of the city's most iconic engineering marvels, from where you can enjoy panoramic views that connect the center with the metropolitan corridor.
When we get to Girón, a Colombian Heritage Town, we'll visit the Sanctuary of the Lord of Miracles, one of the most important temples in eastern Colombia and the epicenter of regional devotion. We'll tour its historic center, with cobbled streets and white facades, and taste a special coffee in one of the most recognized and award-winning spaces in the region.
To round off the experience, we'll visit Cerro del Santísimo, a natural and spiritual sanctuary with an unparalleled panoramic view of the metropolitan area. If you like, you can enjoy the cable car (optional), ecological trails, and contemplation spaces that combine nature, art, and faith.
When we're done, we'll head back to the hotel. Depending on the tour schedule, you can enjoy a traditional Santander snack or a typical meal (lunch or dinner).
