Description

Learn about the history of eternal spring and why we are the best city to visit in Colombia, where we come from a past deeply marked by violence and, thanks to our social and cultural projects, we have become your best option. We start in its beautiful replica of the paisa village so you feel like you are walking through our colorful villages. We continue on our way until we reach the works of Fernando Botero, Colombia's most famous painter and sculptor, recognized worldwide for his voluptuous works and with them the history of Colombia in every brushstroke, a panoramic view of the city, its people, and its culture. You can experience riding our cable car, where the houses located in the mountains will leave you speechless. We welcome you to Comuna 13, where we will start in the Plan del Che neighborhood. We will sit on a terrace where you can get comfortable, have a drink, and enjoy a 360-degree view of the area. Right there, we will begin the story. You will learn how we went from being one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Colombia to now being one of the most visited neighborhoods. With a photo album, we will show you its early beginnings (invasions), military operations, gangs, crime, and invisible borders. We will continue the tour in the Las Independencias 1, 2, and 3 neighborhoods of the area. As we walk, you will be able to enjoy street shows, murals with their meanings, graffiti, and viewpoints where you can take the best photos and videos for your memories. Galleries of local artists and museums will show you how art changed the lives of many young people in the area. We will take a break to try the city's typical food, its famous bandeja paisa, and you can't leave without refreshing yourself with the best fruit micheladas. We will finish by going down the outdoor escalators. A mobility project that became the largest in the world in an urban area, we will venture into its alleys where you can experience how the inhabitants really live and where you can be a graffiti artist for a day with our activity, leaving your mark by creating your own graffiti. The people here will infect you with their kindness and joy from the moment you enter, and you won't want to leave. We'll visit 3D neon rooms and finish with the most famous ice cream, three-time winner of the best ice cream award, with its mango biche and maracumango flavors (if you don't try them, it's like you never came). Remember, I am a local resident and certified local guide for the area, and I will tell you stories and tales of what we were and what we are now. Reading about it is not the same as experiencing it, so don't be fooled and live the story firsthand with a local resident.
