Description
Join this 5-day trip designed for bold travelers who want to have an authentic and deeper connection with nature and locals. Hike through the rainforest, visit indigenous communities, try local food, and more. Day 1 Start your journey from Leticia Airport. Enjoy pickup from your local guide and visit Tabatinga at the Brazilian border of the Amazon. Afterwards, enjoy a typical lunch on a floating restaurant. Visit Leticia and the famous Parque de los loros, or Park of Parrots. At the end of the day, try a Capirinha, a typical Amazonian and Brazilian cocktail. Spend the night in Leticia. Day 2 Hike deep in the rainforest for about 2 hours to visit an indigenous community in their Maloka. After arriving at the Maloka, spend time with the local community and learn about their customs and traditions. Sleep in a hammock and enjoy your meals there. Finish the day with a night hike, if you like. Day 3 Leave the Maloka early in the morning to visit other parts of the Amazon. Make a stop on the Peruvian Amazon to visit an indigenous community. Visit a natural reservoir to see the Victoria Regia, Isla de los Micos, and the Tikuna indigenous community. Then, head to your hotel in Puerto Nariño. You can then decide whether you want to tour the town or rest for the rest of the day. Day 4 From Puerto Nariño, go to San Antonio del Cacao, a Peruvian island. Search for sloths, explore the flora and fauna, and learn about the region and its history. Go back to Puerto Nariño and take another boat to Tarapoto Lake. Spend the night in a hut by the river. Swim, fish, walk around, and enjoy a nighttime fire pit. Day 5 On the last day, enjoy the morning at Tarapoto Lake. Afterwards, go back to Puerto Nariño, and then back to Leticia to finish your trip.Includes
