Description
We'll pick you up directly from your hotel between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m. to kick off a day packed with unique experiences in Antioquia. On the way to Guatapé, you'll pass through the longest tunnel in South America, stretching for 8 kilometers. This engineering marvel will let you enjoy the scenery as you approach your destination. You'll also pass by the airport, which will give you a first impression of the regional environment.
Our first stop will be at Alto del Chocho, an ideal place to stretch your legs and enjoy a typical snack that includes Santa Rosanos pandequesos, a traditional delicacy of the region. Then, we'll head to Pueblo del Peñol, where you'll explore the replica of El Peñol, a perfect opportunity to admire the landscape and learn about the history of this iconic place. You'll also tour the craft galleries, where local artisans showcase their talents and you can find unique souvenirs.
One of the most impressive moments of the day will be the climb to the Piedra del Peñol (optional, with an additional cost), from where you'll have spectacular panoramic views of the reservoirs and mountains that surround the region. After descending, you'll enjoy a typical Colombian lunch, which will let you recharge your batteries to continue exploring.
Finally, we'll visit Guatapé, famous for its vibrantly painted houses and unique details on their facades. You'll stroll through Plaza de los Zócalos, a space full of history, art, and local architecture, tour Calle de los Recuerdos, and enjoy a quiet walk along the Malecón, admiring the connection between the town and the water while immersing yourself in the relaxed and cheerful atmosphere of the place.
Every moment of this tour combines nature, culture, history, and tradition, offering you a full day to experience and capture unforgettable memories of Guatapé and the Piedra del Peñol.
