Description

Enjoy a sensory and educational experience all about cocoa in its purest form. Our workshop kicks off with an introduction to the history of cocoa, from its ancient roots to its role today. You'll discover the whole process: growing, harvesting, fermenting, and drying the fruit. During the experience, you'll get to know the cocoa fruit inside and out, and you'll participate in the traditional roasting of the beans. Through aromas, textures, and flavors, you'll learn to identify its different phases, from the raw bean to caramelized cocoa. You'll try cocoa in various forms: as a bean, as a hot drink in a cup, in an artisanal Baileys-style liqueur, and as a natural face mask. One of the most special moments is making your own chocolate bar, from grinding the cocoa to the final mold. All in a close and friendly atmosphere, perfect for all ages. The workshop lasts about 50 to 60 minutes and is held at Casa Jocolate, where you can also buy homemade organic cocoa products.
