Description
Itinerary of the Temazcal experience in the Indigenous Reserve of San Lorenzo – Riosucio, Caldas.
A day of healing, ancestral connection, and living memory, guided by wise women of the territory.
Upon arrival, there is a ceremonial welcome by the association of women custodians of ancestral knowledge, who open the space with respect and protective energy through songs, incense, and words of welcome. A traditional snack made with local ingredients is offered as a symbol of hospitality and connection to the land.
Then, the discussion 'Connection with Mother Earth' begins, an intimate and reflective space where wise women share their knowledge about the balance between humans and nature, spiritual medicine, and the role of women as caretakers of the land. Participants are invited to express their personal intentions for the ceremony, strengthening their emotional connection with the environment.
Lunch is an experience in itself: 'Rescuing traditional flavors and knowledge,' where you can taste typical dishes prepared with ancestral techniques and agroecological products from the reserve. Each bite is a story, a memory, a celebration of cultural identity. In this sacred space, participants make their entry into the temazcal in silence, surrounded by songs, drums, and medicinal aromas. Rounds of steam with volcanic stones and healing plants allow physical, emotional, and spiritual tensions to be released in a process of deep purification and inner reconnection.
Finally, there is a group socialization and ceremonial closing, where participants share their experiences, lessons learned, and emotions that arose during the day. Symbols of renewal are given and thanks are offered to the land for its medicine. This experience leaves a mark: not only on the body, but also on the soul.
