El Techo is a quirky restaurant lounge in the centre of Bogota. Serving traditional Mexican and Columbian food with a backdrop of live music, the restaurant is an exciting dining experience at any time of the day, and food is available late into the night.
The restaurant may be considered two different venues, depending on the time you visit. Come for lunch, and it is bright (it's a rooftop bar), airy and cheerful - a great place for a meal and a chat in relaxing surroundings. However, if you come in the evening, be prepared for a party; the music is loud and you might feel as if you're in a nightclub.
The live music and party atmosphere is a fantastic feature at El Techo - plus they serve a range of tasty dishes with a traditional menu. The mariachis that start playing in the evening are a great experience, and the drinks are strong and tasty - just what you want from a cocktail! El Techo is a fantastic night out as long as you don't plan on a lengthy conversation over your dinner.
