Description

SALENTO WITHOUT A FILTER is a cultural experience designed for travelers who want to get to know the true essence of Salento beyond traditional tourism. The tour begins at Meraki with a welcome aroma and a discussion about the history, transformation and identity of the town. During the walk, you'll visit iconic places such as the old hospital, the main square, Calle Real, the vantage point, Olier Chocolatería, the nursing home, and the photographic museum of Don Eduardo, one of Salento's most traditional photographers. Throughout the experience, you'll enjoy small food tastings of local flavors such as fresh fruit and typical products while listening to real stories about how tourism has transformed the area, its customs, and the daily life of its inhabitants. More than a sightseeing tour, this experience seeks to create a more human and conscious connection with the place you visit, understanding the importance of supporting traditions, local culture, and the living memory of the town.

Includes

The experience includes a welcome aroma at Meraki, a guided cultural walking tour of the most representative and historic places in Salento, local food tastings along the way, fresh fruit typical of the region, a visit to Olier Chocolatería, an encounter with traditional stories and characters of the town, a visit to the Don Eduardo photographic museum, and final tastings at Meraki, accompanied by a more human, cultural, and authentic view of the territory.

Excludes

During the tour, we will make stops at small businesses and local spaces where, optionally, you can support the village's inhabitants by purchasing handicrafts, food, or typical souvenirs. These purchases are not included in the price of the experience and seek to promote a more conscious and circular economy within the local community.
