Description

Begin your experience with a 10-minute beach briefing covering ocean conditions, safety rules, and wave reading. Then, rehearse the pop-up move on sand until your body memorizes the motion.

Next, enter the warm Caribbean water with your instructor, who positions you in the wave zone and guides each ride. Most beginners stand up within the first 3–5 waves and catch 10–15 waves total during the 1-hour session.

After the lesson, take your free water bottle and keep the surfboard to keep riding on your own, no extra charge, no time pressure. Cartagena's warm water, sandy seabed, and gentle 1–3 ft waves make it one of the safest places in the Caribbean to learn to surf.

All gear is provided: foam board and leash. Classes run every day from 6 AM to 5 PM for anyone aged 5 and up. Groups of up to 20 are welcome.
