Description
This visit will take us to a century-and-a-half-old coffee hacienda where Colombia's export-oriented coffee culture was forged. The site is in Cachipay, 2 hours from Bogotá, where we will find the famous CASABLANCA from the popular Colombian soap opera: Cáfé con aroma de Mujer. There, we will relive the most significant moments of the romance between Sabastían and La Gaviota. We will also experience the harvesting, processing, and transformation of coffee using the method of our grandparents. After a delicious lunch at the hacienda, we will practice the preparation and a method of coffee tasting.
It is a 4- to 5-hour activity at the hacienda (8 to 9 hours in total with travel from Bogotá), designed for those who love good coffee and leisurely activities that allow you to enjoy every moment of the hacienda, the corridors, the old British machinery, the coffee plantation, and the beautiful landscape of the mid-19th-century Republican hacienda.
