Begin your day at The Cranky Croc Hostel in Bogotá, where you’ll meet your bilingual guide and enjoy a traditional Colombian breakfast. Then, travel by private van into the lush Andean highlands for a day filled with nature, adventure, and local stories.
Arrive at the entrance of the protected park and begin your hike through a vibrant forest at 2,600 meters above sea level. Along the trail, learn about native plants and wildlife, breathe in the crisp mountain air, and connect with the tranquil rhythms of the surrounding landscape. Depending on the season, you may spot colorful birds or hear the rustle of hidden creatures among the trees.
Depending on trail conditions and guide recommendations, the order of the visit may vary. Travelers will visit both El Chiflón, a charming waterfall tucked into the green folds of the forest, and La Chorrera, Colombia’s tallest waterfall. Only the order of the visit may change. Even during dry seasons, the majestic views and serenity of the forest make the journey deeply rewarding.
Once you've soaked in the scenery, enjoy a hearty lunch before returning to Bogotá; feeling refreshed, inspired, and more connected to Colombia’s natural beauty and cultural richness.
Booking Policy for La Chorrera Hike
This tour requires a minimum of two confirmed participants to operate.
We do welcome solo travelers, but you must contact us in advance to check if other guests are booked for the same date.
If the minimum number of participants is not reached and the activity cannot operate, travelers may choose to receive a full refund.
If you're traveling solo, please message us on WhatsApp after your reservation and we'll do our best to include you.

- Dress appropriately for hiking in nature and rainy conditions
- Participants must be able to handle uneven terrain
- Tour duration may vary depending on hiking pace and waterfall access
- Vegetarian meal options are available upon request for Standard Tour participants
- Important: This activity offers two different options
- Standard Tour: Includes private transportation, breakfast, lunch, guide, and entrance fees
- Saver Tour (Wednesdays and Saturdays only): Includes public transportation, guide, entrance fees, and insurance only
- Breakfast, lunch, and private transportation are NOT included in the Saver Tour option
