Description
Most Salento coffee tours show you how coffee is made. This one also tells you why it matters. Finca Don Eduardo sits 8 minutes on foot from Salento's main square — no jeep, no long transfer — and it's a real working family farm, led today by Sabrina, daughter of the late Don Eduardo.
The tour opens with a full hour on the story of coffee: how it was discover and later on traveled to Latin America, how it took root in Colombia, and why it became the crop that shaped entire regions and generations of families like this one. From there, you walk out to the coffee plots to see the traditional Colombian methods used to select, process, and dry the beans, and how permaculture guides the way everything is grown here.
Back at the farmhouse, we roast a small batch of green beans over the flame — you'll smell the aroma shift and hear the first crack — then brew and taste the coffee fresh while your guide walks you through the flavor.
Groups are capped at 8, so there's space to ask real questions. If you want to understand Colombian coffee — not just watch it being made — this is the tour.
