Discover one of the most iconic sites linked to Pablo Escobar’s legacy on this guided experience to Hacienda La Manuela, located on the shores of the Guatapé reservoir.
Choose the option that best suits your travel plans: meet your guide at Pier 72 Restaurant in Guatapé, enjoy pickup from your hotel in Guatapé and nearby areas, or join the full-day tour departing from Medellín.
Once the group is assembled, board a boat and enjoy a scenic cruise across the Guatapé reservoir, accompanied by music on board and spectacular views of the surrounding landscapes. During the journey, your guide will share stories about the region, the reservoir, and its transformation over the years.
Along the way, you'll pass the cross marking the original town of El Peñol, now submerged beneath the water, see the Peñol House Museum, and admire lakeside properties and panoramic views of the iconic El Peñol Rock from the reservoir.
Upon arrival, step into Hacienda La Manuela, one of Pablo Escobar’s most famous former estates. Built in the late 1980s, the property became one of his most recognized retreats and remains an important historical landmark in the region.
