Description
Get off the beaten track and discover the area around Barichara aboard a 4x4 Jeep on a private experience designed for those seeking culture, landscapes, and authentic encounters.
The adventure begins with a pick-up at your accommodation in the city center or an agreed meeting point in Barichara. From there, we'll head along country lanes and dirt roads that allow us to get to know the rural life of the region.
Our first stop will be at the workshop of a craftsman who keeps the traditional craft of rattan baskets alive. You will watch a demonstration of the craft and learn how this knowledge has been passed down from generation to generation.
We'll continue on to Villanueva, a quiet municipality in Santander where you can stroll through the streets and enjoy artisanal ice cream with unusual flavors.
Later, we'll visit a natural vantage point with privileged views of the Chicamocha Canyon, an ideal setting for photographs and for appreciating the magnitude of the Santander landscape.
The experience also includes a tasting of refreshing avocado lemonade, a drink that surprises most visitors with its unique flavor.
After approximately 4 to 5 hours of travel, we'll return to Barichara, having experienced a less touristy and more authentic side of the region.
