Description
Your adventure begins in Cartagena, where you'll board a speedboat that will take you across the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean to Bocachica, a historical treasure located on the island of Tierra Bomba. Upon disembarking, you'll immediately feel the authentic island atmosphere and get on a traditional motocarro, the most fun and picturesque local transportation, ready to start the tour.
On board the motocarro, you'll travel through local streets until you reach the imposing colonial fortifications. You'll visit the San José Battery, the famous Fort San Fernando de Bocahica, and the ruins of the Santa Bárbara Battery. These are jewels of 18th-century military engineering that defended the city from pirates. Your tour guide will tell you about the legends and battles that took place within these walls as you explore their tunnels and vaults.
After immersing yourself in history, the motocarro will take you to a beautiful beach area. There, you'll enjoy an afternoon of complete relaxation in the Caribbean sun, where you can swim, relax on the sand, and disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the city. Finally, you'll board the boat for your drop-off in Cartagena, wrapping up a perfect day full of culture, local adventure, and relaxation by the sea.
