Description
You start in Monserrate to get your bearings with a panoramic view of Bogotá at 3,100 m. You go up by cable car or funicular. The tour guide points out the best vantage points and tells you the history of the mountain and the temple. You'll go down to the Gold Museum and tour key rooms (gold, tumbaga, and ceramics) with a direct and enjoyable explanation: you'll understand what the pieces were used for, their symbols, and how they were made, without technical details. Then you'll walk through La Candelaria and, at two stops, you'll use simple AR (a QR code with a 'before/now' comparator) to see how facades, squares, and trades have changed over time. To finish, you'll enjoy a mini cocoa tasting (5–7 min) with nibs or 70% cocoa: aromas, acidity, and bitterness that connect history and territory. Small group so you can move around without rushing; operates in the rain (wear a jacket and comfortable shoes). Entrance fees and sightseeing tickets are included depending on the option chosen; the order may be adjusted if there are large crowds to avoid lines and enhance your experience.
