Description
Soar over the Chicamocha Canyon on a paragliding adventure. Enjoy breathtaking views of the canyon, the Mesa de los Santos plateau, and the Chicamocha River.
We depart from San Gil daily at 9:00 a.m.
Next, we head to the launch site; the journey from San Gil takes approximately one hour.
Upon arrival, we will complete registration and receive a safety briefing, then wait for optimal weather conditions for the flight.
The flight over the Chicamocha Canyon lasts 20 minutes. Generally, takeoff and landing occur at the same location; however, should landing there prove impossible, we have several alternative landing zones within the canyon where the company vehicle will pick us up and return us to the starting point.
Please note that the company-provided transport is shared with other passengers flying that day; therefore, the return trip only takes place once everyone has finished flying.
The return journey from the flight site to San Gil takes approximately one hour. Consequently, the return time to San Gil is between 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
*ADDITIONAL NOTE: Although the paragliding flight over the Chicamocha Canyon lasts 20 minutes, please keep in mind the departure times, travel, logistics, and other factors mentioned above; this means you should allow for a total duration of 6 hours.
