Discover the true soul of Bogotá on a unique journey that combines the comfort of a panoramic bus tour with the authenticity of an immersive guided walking tour and a local gastronomic experience. Our adventure begins at 9:00 a.m. as we cruise through the vibrant modern heart of the capital, admiring iconic landmarks like El Campín Stadium, the lush green landscapes of Simón Bolívar Park, and Salitre Mágico park. You will also see Corferias, the city’s major event hub, where we make a brief technical stop that is absolutely perfect for stopover travelers looking to maximize their limited time in the city (and close to airport).
At 10:30 a.m., the true local immersion begins in the historic downtown district; we will step off the bus at Plaza de La Concordia, a traditional local market where you will awaken your senses with a curated exotic fruit tasting. From there, we will walk to Chorro de Quevedo, 'the legendary birthplace of the city'. As we stroll through the beautiful, cobblestone colonial streets of La Candelaria, you will enjoy an authentic Bogotá food tour by sampling delicious traditional Colombian snacks and a specialty Colombian coffee. After marveling at the historic Plaza de Bolívar, we will conclude our walk with an exclusive visit to a local emerald workshop to discover why Colombia’s gems shine brightest on the global stage.
If you want to experience even more magic, you can upgrade your booking to include access to the iconic Monserrate Hill, where you will enter seamlessly with your guide and receive an audio guide to explore the mountain top at your own pace and return to your hotel whenever you please, making this the most efficient, safe, and delicious way to experience Bogotá in one day.
If you do not select the Monserrate option, we return north, finishing in the Zona T and Zona Rosa areas, which are full of restaurants and things to do in Bogotá.
