Description

Welcome to Colombia and Medellín, the city of eternal spring! Our tour lasts approximately 3 hours We are Beyond Colombia, the largest group of Expert Local Free Tour guides in Colombia with 14 original tours created by ourselves and also the most awarded in the country! 7 international recognitions, 5 TripAdvisor Travelers Choice and Top 3 in Bogotá, Cartagena, Medellín and Cali. We are authentic guides connecting Colombia since 2013, sharing passion in every step! With us you will get to know one of the most important and relevant cultures in the history of our country: the paisas! And the historic center of Medellín is the best living example we have to show you what we were and who we are. We will immerse ourselves in its streets and its people to understand the history, development, conflict and social commitment of an inclusive and innovative Medellín. With our local Paisa guides you will understand how we reversed our dark and violent past, a product of drug trafficking in the 80's and 90's, into a bright future that made us stronger thanks to the resilient, collective effort and social investment that today allows us to walk, visit and live in the city of 'Eternal Spring'. On this guided tour we will talk and visit must-see places such as: - Art in Botero's Square, a reference point of the city. - Paisa industry and culture, the pillars to know its importance in the country. - 80's & 90's in Medellín, the history without taboos. - The railroad and La Alpujarra, the symbols of the development of the city. - Park of Lights, a homage to the father of railroads in Medellín. - And much more! We will move between passages, cross the famous Junín street and discover the essence of downtown Medellín. When weather allows, we often provide professional wireless audio receivers as a complementary aid, so you can hear your guide clearly even on busy streets while staying free to take photos. This audio system is a complementary aid and not a core inclusion of the tour: it is not suitable for children under 15 and is not waterproof, so if it starts to rain we collect all devices and keep them safe. Either way, your guide continues the full experience in person, so the tour is delivered in full with or without the audio system. Don't miss our unique and original tour where we continue writing history together! #GOBEYOND
