  • Enjoy a countryside lunch with beautiful mountain views
  • Relax in natural hot springs fed by mineral-rich waters

Description

Leave the city behind and climb into the mountains east of Bogotá, toward the small town of Choachí. After about two hours on the road, you'll arrive at La Chorrera, one of Colombia's tallest waterfalls, cascading nearly 590 meters down a cliff face wrapped in cloud forest. A guided hike of approximately 2.5 hours (round trip), rated moderate difficulty, takes you through native vegetation to the base of the falls, where the sound and scale of the water make it clear why this place has become one of the region's most striking natural landmarks. Back at La Chorrera's grounds, you'll enjoy a countryside-style lunch (comida campestre) — simple, hearty Colombian cooking served close to nature, the kind of meal that fits perfectly with the mountain setting. From there, we continue to a natural hot springs complex tucked into the same valley. You'll have time to relax in the thermal pools, fed by mineral-rich waters that flow down from the páramo above — the perfect way to ease tired legs and soak in the mountain scenery at a slower pace. We return to Bogotá by late afternoon, with time to spare before dinner.
