Description

El Picacho is one of the seven guardian hills of the city of Medellín and stands out for the beautiful view it offers over the city. From its summit, about 2,100 meters above sea level, you can watch the sunset over Medellín, see the grandeur of the city with its lights on at night, and observe the daily life of the residents of a traditional working-class neighborhood. On this tour, you'll connect with nature and visit a popular residential area, away from the city's commercial and tourist hustle and bustle. You'll meet our tour guide at Poblado metro station. From there, we'll take the train and the cable car to El Picacho Vantage Point, where we'll climb over 300 steps to reach the summit. There, we'll share stories about the city's different areas while pointing them out and showing them to you from above. We'll also lend you binoculars to zoom in on some interesting places from the city's past and present. As a souvenir, we'll give you an original copy of the art book 'Medellín Up Close - Medellín de Cerca,' which has won two awards from the Colombian Ministry of Culture. This is a pocket-sized book (weighing only 334 grams and measuring 18 x 18 centimeters). You can easily carry it in your luggage, and it will be a beautiful souvenir of Medellín for you to keep. After our visit to the vantage point on the hill, we'll take you back to Acevedo metro station, where you can continue your journey safely to the station closest to your accommodation or destination. We'll help you by giving you clear directions to complete your drop-off journey.
