Description

Minca, the ecological capital of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, is located just 13 km from the city and 700 meters above sea level. Thanks to its altitude, it offers a perfect setting to enjoy its beautiful waterfalls and natural surroundings surrounded by the most varied flora and fauna you can imagine. In Minca, we will begin our tour in a van, crossing the tropical rainforest and unpaved roads (trails). On this adventure, we will visit the Marinka 1 and 2 waterfalls, each 30 meters high, which have become one of the most visited attractions in the region. Then we will begin a 40-minute descent to the Oído del Mundo Waterfall, a sacred place for the indigenous communities of the Sierra Nevada. At each waterfall, you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the crystal clear waters that flow down from the mountain. Afterwards, we will continue our walk to the village until we reach Casa Jocolate, where a homemade lunch with vegetarian or vegan options awaits you. After lunch, the tour guide will suggest an activity depending on the weather conditions and the group's dynamics, which could be a short walk through the village to buy souvenirs or some other activity that the Sierra inspires us to enjoy.
