Description
Trust us when we say, if there’s one destination that should be on your list, it’s the Colombian Amazon. Embark on an unforgettable journey into the heart of the jungle, where you’ll observe monkeys in their natural habitat and witness the true beauty of this incredible ecosystem.
There are several reasons why the Amazon rainforest is known as the lungs of the Earth. One of them is its status as the most biodiverse region in the world. But that’s not all—Colombia’s Amazon rainforest is home to the highest number of bird species on the planet.
So, if you’re passionate about wildlife and seeking your next adventure, don’t miss the chance to explore the wonders of the Amazon. Immerse yourself in the jungle's vibrant ecosystem, where monkeys, birds, and other fascinating creatures thrive in their natural environment.
This full-day adventure will start early. Our expert guide will pick you up at your hotel in Leticia and take you to a local community and reserve, where the tour will take place.
You and your guide will walk through the forest to observe and learn about the various species in the region, including frogs, monkeys, birds, and much more. You’ll reach the Takana River, where you’ll have the chance to cool off with a refreshing swim—and who knows, you may encounter more wildlife along the way.
Next, you’ll head to Maloka Cuchira, a local community, where you’ll enjoy a traditional lunch followed by a short rest. At the end of the day, you’ll take part in a fascinating talk about the community’s ancestral traditions and sacred plants, learning about their deep connection to nature.
Once the tour finishes you will walk back again to the first stop and from there the guide will take you to the hotel.
