The Topocoro Reservoir, just 1 ½ hours from Bucaramanga, is a 7,000-hectare water mirror in six municipalities (San Vicente de Chucurí, Betulia, Zapatoca, Girón, Lebrija, and Los Santos) and powers the Sogamoso de Isagen hydroelectric plant. The Topocoro was built at the foot of the Serranía de los Yariquíes natural park, a nature reserve that's perfect for preserving the habitat of jaguars, pumas, and tigrillos, as well as other species native to the area, which makes the reservoir the ideal place for activities like eco-tourism.
