Description

Bazurto, is one of those places that invite you to immerse yourself in the true local culture. This market has over 40 years of history and among its narrow streets that form a maze, it is worth getting lost. We will begin our experience touring its corners and tasting recipes that only locals are able to create. Between the noise and shouts of vendors we will enter to the real Cartagena, the one that few know and enjoy. In this experience we will interact with the vendors of this market place that for a lifetime have been dedicated to the sale of fruits, vegetables and fish. Taste the soda and the local beer because with the heat of this place it is important cooling off. Here we will learn from our local rhythm, the champeta (the sound of the Colombian Caribbean neighborhoods that made the Super Bowl 2020 dance through Shakira’s movements) we will know the reason for its name and the impact of its sound on the different social classes. We will visit Cecilia’s restaurant, the famous cook who fell in love with Anthony Bourdain with her recipes and Runner, the most famous poster designer. Living this experience in the local market teaches us to know the true culture of this beautiful city.
