Description
Our excursion begins with a hotel pickup in Bogota, followed by a roughly 90-minute journey to Chicaque Natural Park. Upon arrival, essential information about this pristine natural reserve, situated at an elevation exceeding 2,000 meters (6,560 feet) above sea level, will be provided. You will have approximately five hours at your leisure to explore the park's botanical diversity.
As you traverse the park's winding trails, you will encounter lush tropical forests with various plant species, including orchids, mosses, and ferns. Look for diverse bird and insect life, particularly hummingbirds, toucans, and butterflies, as the park is home to more than 300 bird species.
During your visit, you will also see some of Chicaque's natural marvels, such as the renowned Pico del Águila, one of the park's highest hills.
To conclude the excursion, our vehicle will be ready for your return, and we will transport you back to your hotel in Bogota, approximately seven hours after our initial pickup.
