Join an authentic experience that pays homage to the tobacco tradition of Barichara. Under the tour guide of our master cigar rollers, bearers of ancestral knowledge, you will learn how to roll your own handmade cigar with tobacco leaves carefully selected from the region. Each participant will have the opportunity to create up to three cigarettes, while discovering the secrets of the selection, rolling and pressing process, as it has been done for generations. This experience begins with a historical introduction about the presence of tobacco cultivation in Barichara and its importance in the local economy and culture. Since colonial times, tobacco has been cultivated in the fertile lands of Santander, being a source of commerce, but also a symbol of rituals and social gatherings. Today, these practices are revived in an activity that celebrates the artisanal, the sensory and the local. After rolling your cigars, you will go through a specialized session where experts will teach you how to cut them, light them correctly and appreciate their aromas and nuances. This moment becomes an intimate and reflective ritual, connecting the present with the past through smoke, touch and taste. The day culminates with a carefully curated tasting of Colombian products. You'll enjoy artisanal rum, chocolate of origin, specialty coffee, local fruits and the traditional Hormigas Culonas, a unique delicacy of the department.
