Food wasn’t great. We ordered the arroz acevichado which was very heavy with very sour pickled onions, not very balanced. The grilled octopus was overcooked, greasy and salty. The “Aperol spritz” were made with no prosecco, only Aperol and sparkling water. Service was ok, but not very attentive. The atmosphere of the rooftop is great though with amazing views of the old town. Recommend this place for a beer and the view, but not more.
My wife and I hosted our pre wedding welcome cocktail event for a group of 80 people on Pasquin’s rooftop and we had a wonderful experience! The event coordinator, Dorangely, was so helpful and a pleasure to work with. The view from the rooftop was gorgeous, the appetizers and cocktails they served were delicious, and the service was excellent! They even included dancers and a sax player to add to the entertainment and great atmosphere. I can’t wait to return to Pasquin and highly recommend doing events with their team!
I really wish I could give a five star. The service was fantastic. Atmosphere fantastic UNTIL we got our bill and because I can't drink gin, I asked for a vodka substitute and was charged almost DOUBLE for doing so. My husband ordered a whiskey and ginger ale and was charged almost 90,000 pesos. You are fine if you stick to the drink menu ONLY which is about 40,000-45000 pesos on average per drink. I loved the tie in with history and naming of drinks. Such a clever way to educate tourists by drink names and a blub. Drink sizes are VERY small too if spending that much. Soooo disappointed that we were taken advantage of. We wanted to leave an extra tip but instead we applied it to the bill instead. We went from enjoying ourselves, loving the historic drink menu to leaving upset. I made sure to write this review 3 days afterwards so I could express appropriately. It’s a shame cuz it is wasn’t for the price gouging, they would have earned 5 stars
If you’re in Cartagena and looking for a place where coffee is truly treated with respect, El Pasquín is a must-visit. From the moment you walk in, the staff greets you with warmth and genuine attention. They’re friendly, attentive, and make you feel welcomed without ever rushing you. Their service feels personal—like they truly care about your experience. But the star here is the coffee. Every cup is prepared with real intention and skill. You can tell they know what they’re doing: the grind, the extraction, the texture, the aroma—everything feels thoughtfully crafted. It’s not just a drink; it’s a well-executed ritual that you can taste in every sip. The combination of excellent service and expertly prepared coffee makes El Pasquín the perfect spot for anyone who enjoys quality and good vibes in equal measure. Highly recommended.
