El Tabun
Colombia
El Tabun delivers an interesting combination of flavours with dishes from a variety of cultures from across the Middle East. The word 'tabun' derives from the name given to a furnace in Arabic, where bread was baked in people's homes. Located in a vibrant area of Medellin it brings you excellent food in your choice of either a relaxed or formal atmosphere.
The restaurant is split into two sections or environments. One is brightly coloured with relaxed seating, perfect for a couple of drinks and a sharing platter. The other contrasts elements of the Arabic ancient world with a modern interior for an elegant dining setting.
Drawing on influences from so many cultures, you will find there is a little something for everyone on the menu. There is a huge range of entrees, all of which are accompanied with 10 styles of salads and 'tabun' bread that is freshly prepared by the chef.
Kebabs, curries, stir fries and many other mouthwatering speciality dishes make up the main course selection with beautiful desserts to round things off. Colourful cocktails made with Middle Eastern fruits are also a tasty treat. Click here to see the full menu.
