The Gaira Café is a fun restaurant/bar with a lively atmosphere. The menu is mainly Columbian and Caribbean in style, with a lot of seafood, steak and local delicacies. It is popular with locals and is always packed on the weekends. It's a great place for authentic food, music, and atmosphere.
The restaurant has a Caribbean theme, complete with rainforest themed décor, the sounds of birds squawking and dressed up waiters.
The decor has a musical theme, with lots of music memorabilia and instruments. There is live music most weekends, which usually begins around 10.30pm. This is when the restaurant and bar really come to life, as the acts tend to be high quality and pull in quite a crowd. The music is always really authentic and dancing is popular here. The legendary Columbian singer, Carlos Vives and his family own the restaurant. This probably explains the Hard Rock Café style musical décor.
