My fiancée and I found this wonderful restaurant in the square and loved it. Food and service was excellent. We have eaten sushi in so many different countries and this experience was one of the best. Joynner our server was extremely helpful and provided us the best service! The sushi was a 10+, different fusion and flavors were a joyful experience. Fresh and flavorful! We loved the whole atmosphere, experience and service.
Loved this place from start to finish. The service and food are truly gourmet, and it was even special to meet the creator of the menu. Every plate felt thoughtfully prepared and served with care and attention to detail—like a true delicatessen experience. Alicia was our server and was extremely friendly and warm throughout the entire visit, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The staff overall are incredibly kind, welcoming, and friendly. They also treated Mr. Posh like a guest of honor, even bringing him water and making him very comfortable, which I truly appreciated. The bar is also beautiful, with a great atmosphere and excellent drinks. Overall, I highly recommend this place over others in the plaza. I actually ended up here after a disappointing experience at another restaurant, Cande, where I felt there was a lack of respect when arriving with my dog. I’m genuinely glad it led me here, because this place exceeded expectations. You won’t be disappointed—I’ll definitely be back soon.
Hard to say everything was perfect, but it really was. Design of the restaurant was great. When we arrived about 16:00, we were not hungry so we setten ourselves in the bar stools. Cocktail menu was unbelievable. I had 6 different ! Barmen (both) were real pros. We got hungry. Snacks was perfect. Service at all levels was very nice and professional.
Another one of those times where Google Maps gets it absolutely right. We were drawn in by the stellar 4.9 rating and the beautiful venue, and not only were our expectations met—they were exceeded. We were hoping to sit outside and ended up waiting nearly 40 minutes for a table, and once we ordered there was another 40-minute wait for the food. Normally that might have tested our patience, but what eventually arrived at the table made any frustration instantly disappear. We ordered the steak with an added lobster tail and the grilled octopus, and both dishes were absolutely outstanding. Perfectly cooked, beautifully seasoned, and finished with garnishes that were both creative and genuinely delicious. Every bite was memorable. A special shout-out to Ney and Laura, who were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the evening. Combined with the lively, charming atmosphere, it made for a fantastic dining experience. Strongly recommend a visit if you find yourself in Cartagena.
We loved every moment of our experience at Manglar. The cocktails were creative and perfectly balanced—never too sweet. We enjoyed the ceviche trio, the fresh fish, and the beef tenderloin. Wow. The service was attentive and thoughtful throughout.
