Description

Travel from Pasto to the Sibundoy Valley in Putumayo, passing through mountainous landscapes, along rivers, and on trails surrounded by nature. During the journey, you'll have a chance to enjoy the changing scenery as you move from the Andean region to one of the most culturally and spiritually rich areas in southern Colombia. Upon arriving in Sibundoy, you will be welcomed by a family from the Kamentza indigenous community, who will share with you aspects of their culture, traditions, and ancestral knowledge. The experience begins with a visit to the maloca, a sacred space where you will learn about the indigenous worldview and the spiritual relationship they maintain with nature and the land. Afterward, you will tour the ancestral gardens, or Jaján, where you will discover plants and learn about their traditional uses within ancestral knowledge. During the experience, you will have the opportunity to participate in a harmonization and well-being ceremony led by the taita (shaman), which focuses on spiritual connection, tranquility, and inner balance. The day also includes time to interact with the local community, learn about their way of life, and enjoy a traditional meal prepared using natural ingredients from the region.
