La Calera Mountains Horseback Riding or Hiking Route

Immerse yourself in Bogota's natural landscape on a tour through the La Calera mountains and enjoy stunning landscapes by horseback or hiking!

Options

When you make your reservation, you can choose one of the following options. Both include transportation from the Avenida Chile Shopping Mall in Bogota, a guide, and snacks.

Horseback riding (4 hours)

After meeting at the appointed time, we'll leave for the La Calera region. Once we arrive, we'll walk for about five minutes to where our horses are. Participants will learn about the route before riding.

The trail involves a low incline, allowing us to explore the lush vegetation. We'll reach an open area with panoramic views of the San Rafael reservoir and the small town of La Calera. A snack break featuring a typical Colombian snack will be provided before returning to drop off the horses and head back to Bogota.

We will conclude the activity back at the initial meeting point after 4 hours.

Hiking route (5 hours)

Alternatively, you can choose to hike the route described previously. This option features a peaceful, low-difficulty hiking route.

Similar to horseback riding, a snack break will be provided, and we will enjoy views of the San Rafael reservoir and La Calera. Hiking offers a closer look at the region's diverse flora and fauna.
