Another highlight is the Monaco Building (Edificio Monaco) where he lived and survived a bomb attack by the rival Cali cartel that was designed to kill him. For the second half of the 8-hour tour, head east for an hour to see Escobar’s abandoned mansion “La Manuela” from top of the El Peñol rock. Then take some time to explore the beautiful facades of the Guatapé village, grab a bite to eat and use the facilities.
